Challenges
The project encompassed the complete development lifecycle of the analog instrument cluster, from initial design and specification to final production readiness.
The instrument cluster required the integration of six motors, along with associated sensors, Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs), LEDs, flash memory support, and the design of the printed circuit board (PCB) itself.
Tight deadline of just 6 months to complete the project.
Outcomes

- The project was effectively managed using a milestone-based Agile methodology, enabling continuous monitoring, adaptation, and on-time delivery of key deliverables.
- A fully functional prototype of the dashboard monitoring system was developed.
- The design of the instrument cluster, including the integration of six motors, sensors, ADCs, LEDs, flash support, and the PCB, met all performance requirements and was ready for tooling order.
- The use of the Xilinx Spartan6 FPGA provided the necessary flexibility and processing power to handle the complex control and display functions of the instrument cluster.
